About Mel
I was born and raised in Louisville, GA, the 1st permanent capital of the state of Georgia and graduated from Thomas Jefferson Academy as Valedictorian. Attended and graduated from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA and while holding the President title of Kappa Alpha Order, Epsilon Nu chapter, I met my wife Lindsey in 2005.
After moving to Monroe, GA, wife’s birthplace, in June of 2009 prior to birth of second child, I began in the insurance industry in 2011 in Watkinsville, GA and I opened my first agency in 2012 in Conyers, GA where it is today. I service Walton, Rockdale, Newton, Oconee, Gwinnett and Dekalb counties but also service the entire states of GA, TN, SC, NC, AL and FL.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending all 3 of my kids club soccer games on weekends (youngest plays for #1 team in state in her age group), coaching middle school soccer (boys and girls) at George Walton Academy, coaching youth girls basketball at GWA, watching Georgia football, watching Tottenham Hotspur footie and watching Atlanta United footie. I also enjoy running two poodles (Marshall and Murphy) around the house probably more for my exercise than
theirs.
Current hometown is Monroe, GA (since 2009) and I’m not sure that may ever change. I’m an avid supporter of my kids and make it a point to be as involved as possible in their lives. They’re only here for a short time and I want to make sure I’m there every step of the way.
What excites me most about this business is helping clients find solutions to their insurance needs. Insurance doesn’t have to be complicated and confusing; I like helping my clients understand their
choices as they make decisions regarding their portfolios. I will provide the best service for each of my clients through honesty and integrity by informing each client of their own particular needs and providing them with the best information I can to help them make an informed decision about their families financial needs.
